Allegro Industries’ NEW PN 9907-WADF EZ AIR Flex Grinding/Welding Air Shield SAR is a complete particulate system intended for industrial grinding or welding applications where combined respiratory, eye, and face protection are required. This Grinding/Welding helmet features a durable flip-up visor to expose a grind shield below that maintains respiratory protection while workers continue grinding or inspecting welds. It is available in both low- and high-pressure configurations; and it complies with ANSI Z87.1+ and CAN/CSA Z94.3 for face-shield/eye protection, is CE certified, and NIOSH approved.
Weighing under 0.6 lbs. total, this brand-new Grinding/Welding Air Shield delivers a constant supply of fresh, filtered air over the user’s face whether the visor is open or closed; and at an APF level of 25, it creates optimal protective pressure inside the respirator head top keeping away particulates (dust, steel, manganese, stainless steel, chromium, galvanized steel, cadmium, lead and ozone). Recommended applications are welding, assembly, facility maintenance, grinding, machine operations, painting and sanding. Suggested industries include automotive, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, general manufacturing, metal production and fabrication, military maintenance, repair and operation (MRO) and transportation. The Grinding/Welding Air Shield is made from a lightweight yet durable, flame-retardant Dupont® nylon that withstands extreme cold and heat. It is large enough to accommodate safety glasses, and features an adjustable durable Pera-Lok ratcheting head gear with replaceable ultra-soft sweat band for increased comfort. Additional features include a fully replaceable 100% cotton FR treated face seal; user controls for airflow direction; a comfortable 100% cotton fire retardant full neck shroud to prevent arc burns; a flexible quick-disconnect breathing tube with a removable FR hose cover. The flip-up visor features a 7” x 5.4” viewing area.
